| How does Global Mobile Alert™ work? |

Global Mobile Alert is a GPS enabled early warning system, which reduces driver distraction by producing an audible alert to warn the driver of an approaching traffic light, railroad crossing, or school zone if the driver has an active phone call and is moving faster than a minimum speed. The Global mobile Alert™ is capable of warning the driver about potentially dangerous situations that require complete driver attention by using a global positioning system (GPS) enabled device – such as a navigation-enabled mobile phone, navigation system, or telematics system.
The GMA solution may help reduce the effects of driver distraction in vehicles enabled with navigation and embedded telematics equipment for automotive OEMs and suppliers of GPS-enabled mobile devices.
The Global Mobile Alert™ solution augments the HMI features in passenger cars through the "workload manager.” For automotive OEMs and suppliers of GPS-enabled mobile devices, the GMA solution may help reduce the effects of driver distraction in vehicles enabled with navigation and embedded telematics equipment.
