The GMA solution provides audible alerts when a moving vehicle approaches an intersection. When a GMA-enabled vehicle is approaching one of these areas an alert is sounded if the vehicle is moving faster than a predetermined speed. For automotive OEMs and suppliers of GPS-enabled mobile devices, the GMA solution may help reduce the effects of driver distraction in vehicles enabled with navigation and embedded telematics equipment.
